Museum Bayerisches Vogtland — Attraction in Berg

Wonderful introduction to the culture and history of Hof and the Bavarian Vogtland. Had numerous artifacts from a variety of time periods including furniture, pipes, tools, paintings, books, instruments, and clothing. There was also several miniatures of the city made from different time periods, collections of rocks and minerals and special Hof pieces like a dragon head spout from the old castle and the old baptismal font base from St. Michaeliskirche. The museum has very interesting themes. Especially the displaced people after WW2. Personally I didn’t know much about it and the exhibition highlights the misery of many people. All in all a very good museum, the olden times classroom in the attic and the printing press was fun to see. Only downside is that literally nothing is translated in English. Schönes museum!! Beautiful large museum has so many amazing great artifacts. The history of Hof is presented in such great detail. You could spend hours here enjoying all the history and learning so much. The staff were very friendly. The ticket price was very reasonable....
