I expected this place to be something that I would call a botanical garden, however, it is more like a park with meadows and a forest. It only makes sense to go there when the weather is really nice, otherwise it is a waste of your time. First of all, it is way too far away from the vicinity of the city-centre. Secondly, finding the entrance was a real struggle, at least for me. The greenhouse is almost empty, apart from some banana palm trees, one big bird of paradise plant and few other plants. Read moreGreat place for picnics. Easy to reach by car but took a while to reach by public transport. They don’t have dedicated parking for cars so parking has to be on the road.
The name of the park is misleading. It is not a typical botanical garden. It had few animals that we can feed. They do have a feeder machine where we can buy carrots and other vegetables for 50p and 1€. The machine was empty when we went so we couldn’t feed animals.
