Strandbad Müggelsee — Attraction in Berlin

Strandbad Müggelsee is a wonderful destination for families with young children. The beach offers a long, shallow entry into the water, making it ideal for little ones to play safely. However, this year there is ongoing construction, which can be a bit inconvenient. Hopefully, it will be resolved soon.

One thing to note is that the beach has a rocky shoreline this year, so I would recommend wearing water shoes for added comfort. On the positive side, there is no entrance fee, which is a nice bonus.

During the summer months, the beach tends to get crowded, but that is to be expected at popular spots. Thankfully, there are adequate facilities available, including toilets, containers for drinks, ice cream, and food, as well as seating areas.

If you're looking for some extra fun, there is a stand-up paddleboard and canoe rental service right next to the beach, along with a surf school. These options provide great opportunities to try out water sports and make the most of your visit.

Positiv ist, das man mittlerweile kostenlos reinkommt. Dementsprechend ist aber auch der Rest. Der Sandstrand könnte so schön sein, ist aber voller Zigarettenstummel, kleinen Scherben und sonstigen Müll. Trotz Putzkraft, waren die Toiletten dreckig und es roch stark nach Urin, Seife an den Waschbecken suchte man vergebens. Es gibt einen Kiosk, der, wie bei allen Bädern, teuer ist. Gegenüber findet man einen Imbiss der laut Karte unter anderem eine recht große Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichten anbietet und das zu humaneren Preisen. Probiert habe ich da aber nichts. Ganz cool sind die Volleyball Felder, die auch großzügig genutzt werden. Zum See an sich: auf den ersten 20 Metern ist der Boden eine Zumutung. Man stößt sich entweder ständig den Zeh, oder tritt auf große große Steine. Wenn man diesen Parkour unbeschadet überquert hat, wird der Boden immer sandiger und dann auch weich. Ab da ist der See eigentlich ganz angenehm, es dauert aber ewig, bis man eine ordentliche Wassertiefe erreicht hat (Gut für Kinder, schlecht, wenn man einfach Mal schnell ins Wasser will). Die Wasserqualität war meiner Meinung nach auch in Ordnung. Fazit: für Erwachsene Menschen, ist das Strandbad völlig ausreichend. Mit Kindern würde ich wegen dem Müll am Strand aufpassen. Ansonsten bekommt man hier momentan kostenlos ein wenig Strandfeeling und kann baden. Es war auch bei meinem Besuch sehr gut besucht.
