Weingut Roussel — Attraction in Bernkastel-Kues

We had stayed here before so knew what to expect. Our nicely furnished apartment overlooked the vineyard behind, and it was easy to go for a walk along the vines and up into the woods towards Bernkastel|or a short walk towards the main road leading into the town took you to the beautiful river Moselle. Within the apartment block were facilities for anyone who chose to be on a bed and breakfast basis or indeed if say you wanted breakfast on your last day. Various beauty treatments were also available and could be booked through the owner. You could also arrange for breadrolls to be delivered each morning and these were left hanging by the front door around 7 am. Bikes could also be rented for about 8 euros a day. Ein Erlebnis - Hotelübernachtung mit Restaurantbesuch bei Familie Roussel in Bernkastel-Kues!

Wir waren für einen Kurztrip zum Besuch des Weihnachtsmarkts in Bernkastel-Kues im Feriendomizil Roussel eingecheckt. Übernachtung inkl. Abendessen im Restaurant La Bonne Adresse. Es war ein Erlebnis und wir werden sicherlich noch lange daran denken.

Hier wird Gastfreundschaft groß geschrieben, die Inhaber Heike und Dominique Roussel kümmern sich liebevoll um ihre Gäste. Die Ferienwohnungen sind hochwertig eingerichtet und bieten eine tolle Aussicht. Wir hatten in unserer den Blick ins Moseltal, zu den umliegenden Weinbergen und zur Burg Landshut oberhalb von Bernkastel.

Das Highlight war der abendliche Restaurantbesuch im familiengeführten Restaurant La Bonne Adresse. Hier kocht Sohn Thierry Roussel mit extrem viel Leidenschaft, Liebe zum Detail und frischen unverarbeiteten Lebensmitteln. Wir beide hatten das Menü Entenbrust aus französischer Freilandhaltung, als Vorspeise Jakobsmuscheln bzw. Lachstartar und als Dessert französischen Schokoladenkuchen bzw. den Käse auf Schiefer. Dazu gab es noch zwei (!) Grüße aus der Küche.

Zur Begleitung tranken wir Riesling des Weinguts Roussel und regionales Mineralwasser. Es hat perfekt zueinander gepasst.
