Wehrmuehle Museum — Attraction in Biesenthal-Barnim

What a magic place. Every year the exhibitions get better, as the mix of established artists with emerging talent creates a conversation that includes the remarkable building and the vast outdoor spaces. Most of it is protected wildlife and forest reserve, so the outdoor art and programming are within 5 minutes from the main buildings. “The vibe is super chill” as I was told by several people before I finally had a chance to go myself. They were right, as groups of Berliners gather for Picknicks to listen to music, participate in lectures, or sit by themselves to read. There are small dogs and children that round out an inclusive communal vibe, and I will be dragging my friends...

We had the most incredible and unforgettable experience at Wehrmühle Biesenthal. The atmosphere was absolutely magical, with every corner of the space radiating beauty and inspiration. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the natural surroundings and the unique charm of the location.

Our host, Ella, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable and knew at any time what we needed. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or an inspiring space for creative projects, this place is an absolute dream.

A sweet weekend escape to an idyllic location, surrounded by nature, historic architecture, and carefully curated art. Each exhibition is a great collection of multimedia works surrounding a common theme, ranging from artists all over the world such as Agnes Varda, Sandra Vàsquez de la Horra and Cathrin Hoffman, to name a few.
