Eifelpark — Attraction in Bitburger Land

Mixed experiences. Firstly, prices have gone up from 23€ to 37€ for an adult. A family with a kid now pays over 100€ to get in. Online prices a bit discounted. Secondly, the focus now falls on the amusement park. This used to be a wildlife park with just a few mechanical rides, including the Sommerrodelbahn, but enough to keep the entire family busy; prices were about 10€ 10-12 years ago. The show with the birds of prey use to be a key point; now largely disregarded. Thirdly, many of the new attractions are NOT that sought after, the newest one, the swinging arm, hardly had any customers at any given moment on a Sunday. It is quite extreme for kids. The 80m freefall is just that, no thrills, just a nice view. Money wasted. The main rollercoaster is extremely bumpy, no twister/loop, hardly any speed, just disconfort. The one attraction I have enjoyed was the water roller coaster, smooth enough and refreshing. Some of the old attractions still provide the most fun, like the Sommerrodelbahn and the boats with the water canons on the lower level. Thirdly, there is the gap between the lower and the upper level, hardly accesible on foot with kids. You need to wait for the little train to take you up or down. It usually gets crowded very fast, and the ride is smoky and noisy, it is a mere tractor after all. Moreover, make sure on your way out, that you do not miss the last one, as it is quite easy to get stranded up there, with the kids and prams; it happened to us. The way down is the last thing you need at 6 p.m. Fourthly, although they mention on the flyer that opening times may be extended on busy days (smth you would expect on a Sunday, right?!), they do not really communicate that, nor do they do it properly, for instance say 18.30,they just leave you a bit longer at their discretion. Lastly, staff is not always very kind; at the entrance we had to prove that one of our 3 children indeed had a birthday. The tickets had been bought in advance, but we forgot the pass at home. They would not leave us in, until a neighbor actually went into the house and took a photo of the passport. The experience was quite humiliating. Also, there is a lot of staff driving a lot around in golf-caddies, which pollute a lot, both noise and emissions, especially on a hot day. What we did like was the circus, an outstanding performance and the water playground, very nice on a sunny day. Disappointing would be an understatement. We decided to visit this park on a sunny mid-November Sunday. I checked to make sure they’re still open during Winter and sure enough it said 10:00-16:00 with the Birds of Prey show happening at 15:00 on weekends. I was well aware that the rides, snack stands, and other atractions would be closed but we went only to see the animals. When we got to the entrance at 14:30 I even asked one more time to make sure the bird show was still on for 15:00 and the cashier rudely told me there was no reason why it wouldn’t take place. The park itself is not very nice compared to others we’ve been to like Potzberg. Especially the building with the meerkats is completely run down and I feel sorry for the few animals they have since there is obviously no effort to make the enclosures comfortable or interesting for them. We saw two meerkats cuddling together and shivering because they were so cold. We really looked forward to seeing the bears but the whole area was taped off with signs that the bears are already in hibernation. Well, they are actually not. We could see each of the three bears from a distance locked in 3m x 3m steel cages with concrete floors, banging on the doors because they wanted to get out. Oh, and guess what? The bird show never happened. There were about 25 people waiting but nobody ever showed up. No explanation, no apologies...simply nobody showed up. So we left, feeling sad for the animals there and ripped-off because we paid full price for a whole lot of nothing. We definitely won’t ever go back, not even...

Ich war schon früher als unsere Kinder noch klein waren. Wir haben den Anfang genauso miterlebt wie den Untergang unter den vorherigen Besitzern , kenne ihn jetzt unter den neuen Eigentümern und bin begeistert was sie in relativ kurzer Zeit daraus gemacht haben. Die Widerbelebung und neu Gestaltung ist mehr als gelungen. Alles ist schön sauber, vor allem die Toiletten. Natürlich gibt es auch Dinge die noch nicht so optimal sind. Da gibt es noch einige viel zu kleine Gehege für Tiere oder die beschwerlichen steinigen Wege zu den neuen Fahrgeschäften die weder für Rollstühle noch Kinderwagen geeignet sind. Auch dass Gehen auf diesem Geröll ist sehr beschwerlich. Dann können Kinder die zu klein sind für ihr Alter nicht auf viele Fahrgeschäften was ich als Diskriminierung ansehe zumal man auf Nachfrage gesagt bekommt die braucht doch eh keinen Eintritt bezahlen. Unmöglich so eine Aussage vor allem gibt es ja auch sehr kleine Erwachsene die dann auch nicht auf alles drauf können. Vielleicht sollte man auch noch einmal die Preise der Imbiss Buden etwas überdenken denn die Portionen sind sehr klein für die hohen Preise. Trotzdem ist der Park nun wieder ein guter Ort für einen Familien Ausflug mehrmals im Jahr und den neuen Besitzern fällt sicher noch mehr ein um den Park noch attraktiver zu gestalten wie er jetzt schon ist. Potenzial ist genug vorhanden. Neues Feedback. Besuch am 06.06.2018 An diesem Tag = Touristik Tag besuchten wir den Park mit einer Mini Delegation. Inhaber, Rezeptionistin und Kundenbetreuung des Feriendorf Pulvermaar. Diese Besuche in Abständen sind wichtig um Gästen des Ferien Dorfes Parks etc. empfehlen zu können. Wie bereits erwähnt kenne ich den Eifelpark bereits sehr sehr lange da nicht nur meine Geschwister und ich als Kinder dort waren sondern auch ich mit meinen Kindern und nun öfter mit den Enkelkindern. Seit der Wiedereröffnung verändert sich der Park stetig. Immer neue und tolle Attraktionen kommen hinzu. Die Wege verbessern sich sodass es für jeden nicht nur für Menschen mit Problemen einfacher wird . Vor allem die Lage des Parks mit sehr viel Natur ist einmalig. Auch mit Kinder Lärm kann man entspannen. So wie ich es wahr genommen habe nimmt man auch Kritik ernst. Daher hoffe ich auch noch auf Verbesserung der Kleintier Gehege und Voillieren. Die Essen Portionen haben sich etwas verändert und es kommen neue Attraktionen auch für Kinder hinzu die etwas kleiner für ihr Alter sind was für mich ein wichtiger Aspekt ist denn es gibt nicht nur große Kinder. Ich hoffe dass sich einige Gehege - u.a. die der Ponys etc auch noch vergrößern. Da nun auch ein Bauernhof im Bau ist gehe ich einfach einmal davon aus. Fazit Ich bin begeistert und kann den Gästen des Feriendorf Pulvermaar den Eifelpark Gondorf ohne schlechtes Gewissen empfehlen. Dass Preis / Leistung Verhältnis stimmt. Es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Wer einen schönen Tag nicht nur in der Natur sondern in einem Park inmitten selbiger verbringen möchte ist im Eifelpark Gondorf gut aufgehoben. Da ich natürlich immer auf dem neuesten Stand sein möchte, auch um neues berichten zu können werden noch einige Besuche folgen. Nochmals möchte ich zum Abschluss die Sauberkeit erwähnen.

Am 26.10.19 waren wir wieder hier zu Halloween im Eifelpark. Wir fanden es SUPER . Alles war toll zurecht gemacht um Halloween gerecht zu werden. Überall wurden Aktivitäten für Kinder angeboten sei es Kürbis schnitzen , Schminken, was auch immer. Ganz besonders Spitze fanden wir die Show Spuk im Geisterschloss. Lachen ist bekanntlich gesund und dass konnten groß und klein. Hier war Stimmung nicht wie in Klotten Langeweile bei einer Hexentrude. Jedesmal wenn ich hierher komme hat sich etwas geändert, verbessert oder es ist etwas in Planung. Ich bin begeistert wenn ich zurück denke an den alten Park der zu Grunde ging und sehe was jetzt ist. Wieviel Arbeit und Liebe zum Detail hier rin steckt . Aus dem Entlein wurde ein Schwan der immer mehr...
