Cottbus Zoo — Attraction in Cottbus - Chóśebuz

We had fun at the zoo. The highlights for us were the zebras, pelicans and elephants. The lemurs were fun, too. We were there with our 1yr old twins and they really loved the goat petting area. The park is large and spacious, lots of walking between exhibitions. It is very green and foresty. The landscaping is wild... but not "pretty". I can imagine some people would love the natural feeling. For me, it lacked imagination. Some of the paths we're difficult with our cheap little fold-up strollers. All in all, it was a fun visit. It would be a five star zoo if it had more animal.... Lions, bears, hippos, (more) penguins... This zoo really has an abundance of birds. Nice, but not very exciting. Big parking lot. Bathrooms, alright. Changing rooms available. There's a good imbiss in the zoo and right outside of it. There are wagons, for a euro, that you can rent to pull your stuff (or kids)...

The zoo in Cottbus is not very big, nor does it have any major highlights. But it's a nice place to spend a few hours with the kids. We visited the zoo on a Thursday in July 2022 and there were very few people there. The well being of the animals was evident. We were looking for a place to eat at the zoo. We were not convinced by the bistro with pomme frites and different kinds of wurst, but the food in the restaurant was not bad. It was disappointing not to be able to see the tigers here due to the pavilion renovations, who are otherwise heavily used by the zoo's marketing. It was also unpleasant that there are no visitor restrooms at the exit, only pay toilets outside the venue. Still, the visit...

Ein Tierpark der in einer sehr schönen Wald-Anlage integriert ist wo man selbst das Gefühl bekommt man sei in einem Dschungel. Sieht sehr gepflegt aus und manche Gehege gehen fließend über in zusammenspiel mit der Natur. Durch den Wald ist man an heißen Tagen gut geschützt vor der Sonne. Zum Teil kann man den Tieren auch sehr nah sein wie dem Streichelzoo was bei den Kindern gut ankommt. Allerdings fande ich den Pinguinbereich nicht wirklich Artgerecht müsste größer sein auch was das Wasserbecken angeht da fand ich es zu klein. Haben nicht die Möglichkeit richtig im Wasser tief zu tauchen. Würde mich freuen wenn der Zoo dort für die Pinguine etwas besser machen würde. Auch ein großer Spielplatz gibt es im Zoo. Es gibt dort ein Imbiss und ein Restaurant. Alles ist gut überschaubar sowie auch gut ausgeschildert. WC sind sauber es gibt an unterschiedlichen Orten auch diverse Desinfektionsspänder. Das Essen im Tierpark Restaurant kann sich auch sehen lassen. Ist für jeden was dabei. Portionen sind ergiebig und man wird satt. Während der Wartezeit auf das Essen können Kinder in einem Sandkasten der in Form einer Anaconda aufgebaut ist spielen. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis von Essen passt auch. Sehr freundliches und nettes Personal. Schnelle Bedienung musste nicht lang warten auf mein Essen. Obwohl es einigermaßen gefüllt war das Restaurant zur Mittagszeit. Man kann draußen oder drinnen sitzen. Es ist möglich mit EC Karte und auch Bar zu zahlen. Einziger Kretikpunkt ist das die Sitz-Stühle draußen nicht mehr so schön aussahen und auch an der Stuhllehne oben am Rand sehr mitgenommen aussahen was meiner Meinung auch zu Verletzungen für kann. Mein Fazit: ein nicht so großer Tierpark dennoch hat es mir sehr gefallen dort da es auch viele Sitzgelegenheiten gibt wo man verweilen kann und einfach die Tiere gut beobachten kann...
