Die Gläsernen GÄRTEN — Attraction in Frauenau

We really enjoyed our visit to Die Gläsernen GÄRTEN in Frauenau. The glass art installations throughout the park are stunning and really creative, each one has an audio description you can listen to, which adds a lot to the experience. It was interesting to hear the stories behind the sculptures while walking through nature.

There are plenty of sunny and shady spots with comfortable sun chairs where you can just relax and take in the view. The small pond with the fountain adds a peaceful vibe to the whole place.

What I loved most is how family-friendly it is. There’s a nice playground and even a small obstacle course for kids to burn some energy while the adults enjoy the art and nature. It’s all well-maintained and very clean.

The park is also just a short walk from the train station, which makes it super convenient if you’re arriving by public transport.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area, great mix of art, nature, and fun...

Also auch wenn sich für den ein oder anderen Glaskunst nicht auf Anhieb erschließen sollte, dieser Glasgarten ist sehr interessant und toll angelegt. Das Beste daran: zu jeder Jahreszeit, zu jeder Tageszeit und zu jedem Wetter bieten sich neue Ansichten und Perspektiven. Einfach toll und sehenswert! Man sollte etwas Zeit mitbringen und einfach in Ruhe die Werke anschauen. Mal drumherum gehen, sich bücken, gegen das Licht schauen etc. Auch für die Kleinen ist mit einem kleinen Spielplatz gesorgt. Hier wird die Verbindung von Glas und Kunst direkt erfahrbar. Die Kunstwerke sind in einer schönen Parkanlage untergebracht. Dabei stehen sie nicht alleine sondern sind mit einer Stehle markiert. Diese liefert auf Knopfdruck entweder auf Deutsch, Englisch oder Tschechisch nicht nur eine Erklärung des Kunstwerkes sondern auch eine kurze Beschreibung des Künstlers der das jeweilie Werk gefertigt hat.
