Katolický farní kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie se nachází v obci Furth v lese. Od vlakového nádraží je to jen pár minut chůze od farnosti, která patří do diecéze Regensburg. Malý kostel s dnešní růžovou fasádou pochází z 13. století jako modlitebna . Stejně staré jsou části dnešní kostelní věže. Dlouho poté, co se Furth stal samostatnou farou v roce 1585, farní kostel postavil v roce 1725 Michael Wolf, kde stál starý modlitební dům. Postupně byl kostel rozšířen. V roce 1823 byla věž zdvižena na 45 metrů, v roce 1893 byl kostel rozšířen o transepty a kryptu, tedy o spodní kostel a obecně rozšířen. Do roku 1970 byly přidány dva boční oltáře, dvě galerie, oltář a vitráže.
