Too many people trying to vie for a good view. The place itself is nice. But so many people are trying to get up close.
Stairs at the end are narrow and people stop and look around rather than moving off to the side.
The walk on the east side has a nice creek running next to most of the trail. The trail has plenty of spaces to stop and sit. The trail to the falls is, for the most part, a gentle climb with a wide gravel path. People were successful in pushing strollers along this portion.
At the end of the trail near the falls, the path turns into cut stone steps and dirt. This is not suitable for those with mobility issues or who tire easy. The trail here is narrow and there are around 100-150 steps in a cut-back arrangement leading up to the falls. Very crowded when I went in July 2020.
There is another trail along the west side of the fields that split the valley. This has almost no benches, is wider, but less people. The views are better in the afternoon from this side as there are less trees and you can see the castle ruins on the way back down.
There is ample parking all along the road leading up to the trail, but on summer weekends, plan on having to drive around to find one.

Try to avoid taking the upper parking lots, it is a steep and challenging tour down to the waterfall - and these routes are definitely not suitable for...
Read moreThis is well worth a visit for the excellent walking trails, not so much for the waterfall! Good, cheap parking with excellent toilets at the bottom then it was off up the trail to the Waterfall. There are a number of walking trails, in the dry a decent pair of trainers will do, in the wet walking boots would be reccomended. The trails vary in difficulty so choose wisely, but the scenery is stunning and well worth a hike. We came up the final steep ascent to the waterfall to find........a miserable little stream gurgling over the edge! The drainage ditch next to my Mum and Dads house in Scotland has a stronger flow than that! Maybe we were just unlucky, the superb weather we enjoyed in the Swabian Alps had perhaps dried it up, but raging torrent it was not! To take the edge off the disappointment their is a cafe and toilets -service was friendly, menu good, but stay away from the coffee - absolutely rank awful! So, in conclusion well, well worth a visit for great, well maintained trails (thank you!) and...
