Burgruine Hornstein — Attraction in Gemeindeverwaltungsverband Sigmaringen

A lovely little site on a hilltop that has the ruins of the Hornstein Castle. The ruins are quite small and basic, but still rather nice. Probably more suited to a family visit with young children, but interesting enough for a short visit for adults. The site is free to visit, and parking is too, but no actual bays, just where you can fit with causing any obstructions. Hiking trails are nearby leading from or to the site (depending on where you start....free parking is available from any of the hiking trail paths). On specific occasions, it seems there are events held. I arrived on a day that one of the restored towers was hosting a children's party. It's definitely worthy of a 20-30 minute visit if you're in the vicinity...

I was rather surprised at the extent of that ruin. A lot has been preserved and partially reconstructed to give a vague impression of how the place might have looked in the olden times. Очень красивые, живописные руины старинной, средневековой крепости🏰, первое упоминание о которой восходит к 13 столетию, то есть времена крестовых походов. 🗡🛡🚩🏇🎪о чём можно прочесть постепенное развитие и упадок на шильдочках установленных по дороге с крепости вниз, к подножию скалы, на которой она основана. А сверху открывается потрясающий вид на долину Лаухерта. На территории Бурга есть кафе🏰🍕🌭🍻🍧,но сегодня было закрыто. Внутренний двор крепости довольно обширный, вместительный, там даже водрузили небольшую эстрадную сцену, видимо проводят здесь фестивали, концерты и тд. Здорово! Советую к посещению.
