Traumhafter Aussichtsfelsen mit zwei Sitzbänken und jeder Menge Platz für ausgiebige Pausen. Der Blick hinunter wir Beuron und das Kloster, sowie auf die Donauschleife und die gegenüberliegenden Felsen ist sehr beeindruckend. Höchste Vorsicht ist jedoch an der Kante des Felsen notwendig, denn diese ist nicht gesichert.

Bizarrer Steilfelsen im Donautal mit wunderschöner Aussicht auf Beuron mitsamt dem gleichnamigen Kloster an der Donau. Ein kleiner Pavillon lädt zu einer längeren Rast ein. Der Spaltfelsen liegt am Streckenwanderweg DonauZollernalb-Weg auf der 1. Etappe von Beuron nach Hausen im Tal.

Der Spaltfelsen bietet eine schöne Aussicht, insbesondere direkt auf Kloster Beuron und Schloß Bronnen.

Wobei es viele weitere Aussichtspunkte auf anderen markanten Felsen gibt. Bspw. den Eichfelsen oder den Knopfmacherfelsen, um zwei weitere zu nennen.

Es ergibt sich von jedem dieser Punkte eine vollkommen Neue Perspektive.

Der Spaltfelsen ist ohne größere Steigungen recht gut erreichbar über Irndorf und mit dem Eichfelsen kombinierbar.

Tolle Wanderung. Von Beuron kann man am Haus Maria Trost links vorbei,danach an der Gabelung rechts und sofort wieder links den Berg hinauf. Gutes Schuhwerk und Trittsicherheit wichtig. Es geht auf schmalem Pfad steil nach unten. Besonders bei Regen oder Nässe ist vorsicht geboten. Von dort kann man weiter zum Rauhen Stein...
