What a day! First time since Corona we have been skiing today. But it was lat when we arrived. After a long hard week we arrived aroun 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon!! Never been so late to the snow party 😀 but we were lucky. At the oedberg the slopes are open until 21:00 p.m. in the evening! Great! We didn’t know that but we knew that this smal Ski Ressort is great for having some time on the skier. Four hours we have been there. We borrowed some skiers for mom and me and soon on we went with #bigfoot and #littlefeet to the kinderland with two lifts and a lot of space for training 😀. Later #bigfoot went to the big slope on the left. Me too. Of course it’s not so huge but the slope is broad. So the is space for everybody. I recommend this place! Also because even if we had nice weather there weren’t so many people and it was not crowded and really helpful for the kids and against corona. The peopl in the Skischule where yo rent your skier are lovely and ready to help! Just go there with you kids and have some fun for two or more hours. Evening skiing included ⛷. If you go from Munich by car you’re there in approximately 1 hour 15....
Read moreWe have been to this place on several occasions before. Sadly, it is now extremely dangerous, and needs to be shut down pending a full safety investigation - as of summer 2022. Review originally not approved because of a legitimate statement rejected by the algorithm.
Today, there were two incidents within the space of an hour, where toboggans became detached from the cables pulling them up the hill. The rest of the toboggans carried on moving, because there are no safety systems in place, causing a pile-up, in which cables were literally ripped from toboggans and flying at high speeds through the air. The first time, I was whipped across the forehead by a loose cable, and was left with a bump on the head. The second time, two ladies further ahead experienced serious injuries to their hands, which required emergency medical treatment from paramedics. Accidents happen. This is worse:
There is no emergency stop system on the course There is no camera system for the operators to see when a problem occurs on the course The operators themselves admitted to not maintaining the equipment appropriately because of a “shortage of oil”
I had to drop my three year old out the side of the toboggan, next to an electric fence, to protect him from the impact of a toboggan crashing into us. The operators did absolutely nothing to help, ignoring the shouts coming from the top of the hill, and continuing to send toboggans up the hill.
Read moreIt was a very exciting and interesting experience for me 👌 The prices are not low, but the experience is worth it at least once 😁 Everything was super safe and you have a seatbelt to secure your place and you also receive instructions from the staff. Another cool thing was that at a certain point while riding the "sledge" you get your photo taken and if you want you can get it printed- for a price of course 😄 It is great that you can pay for the rides by card. I definitely recommend it to everyone who likes exciting rides and wants to experience...
