My favorite restaurant in OWL, according to the clientele rather conservative menu with changing rarities hunted by the chef himself. Excellently prepared, very friendly service and my daughter, who is currently vegan, was also...

The inside of the castle is only open for visitors during the Christmas Market. It's a lovely 'floating' castle, dating back to the 18th century if I'm not mistaken. Loads of paths for walkers in the forest behind it.

Schloß ist etwas übertrieben, ein in die Jahre gekommenen Gehöft. Von außen denkt jeder, na könnte auch Mal was gemacht werden. Hatte heute, da das Tor offen war mal reingeschaut, besser als erwartet was hinter dem Eingangstor ist. Gut betreten ist verboten, außer man meldet eine Führung an ....werde in CH nach CORONA bestimmt Mal machen. Ansonsten, von weiten mit dem Wassergraben herum sehr interessant. Der Teutoburger Wald im Anschluß gut zu belaufen und gut ausgeschildert. Ein Spaziergang dadurch bestimmt immer gut und gibt immer was zu entdecken.
