The Sri Kamakshi Amma Temple’s architecture, with its huge Gopuram and well-maintained premises, is so authentic that it was hard to believe we were in Germany.

This temple is not just about Kamakshi Amma. You’ll find beautiful idols of Ganapathi, Lord Shiva, Murugan, Lalitha, Shanideva, Ayyappa, and Shankaracharya. Each deity is meticulously crafted, and the whole place radiates a sense of peace and devotion.

The temple staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which adds to the warm, homely feeling of the temple. They make you feel part of a larger family, which is so comforting when you’re far from home.

The temple is well maintained, with clean premises and an organized layout. The timings are 0800 - 1300 hrs and 1700 - 1900 hrs, making it convenient to visit throughout the day. The prasadam served after the closing time.

Honestly, this was the best temple experience I’ve had in Europe. I never expected to find such a beautiful and spiritually charged place here. Walking into this temple felt like stepping into a piece of India. It’s a place I’ll definitely...

Very divine and serene place of Sri Matha. you can meditate in it's profound serinity and feel the presence of the great Matha. The way the holy temple is kept and maintained is simply awesome. The head priest is such a gentle, pious and holy person he indpires awe in you. His devotion and the affectionate manners impress you so much makes you fill with positive energy and you return with a great feeling of satisfaction and confidence to face the problems ridden world. The sacred traditions are observed so sincerely by the Head and his able assistants that fill you with joy of being back home in Kanchi puram. It's an oasis in this materialistic world. A great spiritual fountain to recharge your dissipated soul. Set in an industrial estate it truly compares an oasis in desert. Benevolence of Mother of All Mothers Sri Matha is felt in entire place. Kudos to all who have contributed all they could and to those who are doing so continuously to make this a great place so far away from India. I now my head respectfully...

The most famous South Indian temple. The temple is similar to the ones in India. The priests conduct the pooja similar to that of India. The temple consists of various gods which include Kamakshi ambal, Ganesha, Shiva, Murugan, Lakshmi Narasimha, Aiyappa, and so on. The temple is located on a wide spread area which includes even Krishna temple outside. I visited the temple on Durgashtami and also had chance to see the dasara gombe pradarshan(dolls arrangement). I really felt like home. Everything is just perfect. Must visit if you are around NRW. Update to Google: the routes from Cologne to Kamakshi Ampal temple is not updated. However, if your travelling from Cologbe hbf you can take RE7 towards Hamm. Once your in Hamm you could take the Buss 33 towards Ventrop Kirche which is basically last stop. From the bus stop a 2 min walk to temple.
