Eselsburger Tal — Attraction in Herbrechtingen

Very beautiful destination for trip in all year. But for Summer season is the best idea. Long walks in a green and sunny valley. Between the river and sandstone rocks of wonderful shapes.

A saga explains the origins of the "stone virgins" and the origin of the ruins of Eselsburg: "On the Eselsburg over the valley, a woman who had not been good enough for all the suitors was said to have lived. Really nice place for climbing. Lots of routes can be reached from the top, in case you feel more confident in a top rope.

Some crags are well exposed to the sun, so they get dry fairly quickly after a rainy day.

Other than that just a nice scenery overall with the river "Brenz" glowing through the valley in a squiggly fashion.

Part of the roads can be used by cars during weekdays, so if you don't want to have any traffic when hiking through the valley, you should go on weekends or...
