Kaum zu finden und Weg nicht gesichert. Dank des Geröllbodens wird einem da richtig mulmig. Sobald man die Ruine erreicht hat, sieht man nur eine Bodensenkung und zwei Mauerteile. Auch die nahegelegene Ruine Hugofels war in ähnlichem Zustand und genauso abenteuerlich zu erreichen. Kann ich nicht empfehlen.

Wunderschöne Aussicht, interessanter Ort mit Info Tafeln etc, ABER: Absicherung gleich 0! An engen Wegen, die man benutzen MUSS um zu den Ruinen zu kommen, sind KEINERLEI Sicherungen vorhanden. Keine gespannten Seile, nichts zum festhalten. Es geht DIREKT daneben steil bergab. Wenn man da abschmiert kann man direkt Christoph 17 rufen der einen mit ner Seilwinde raus holt... Deshalb nur der eine Stern! Absolut gefährlich. Mit Kindern NICHT zu empfehlen.

Sonst ist es wirklich eine wunderbare Gegend die man...

Es ist schon erstaunlich, dass einige User Foto hochladen, die überhaupt keinen Bezug zu dem Standort haben, wie hier z. B. Fotos aus der Umgebung von Bozen. Von der Burgruine Rothenfels sind nur noch ein paar Mauerreste erhalten. Dafür wird man durch die Aussicht auf den Alpsee...
