I respect ISKCON very much. I don't want to give such a low rating but I had to because of today's experience.

I had a bitter experience in Harinam conducted in English Garden, Munich today. One Prabhu was distributing books and asked me if I would like to have any books (in German language) from him. I already have the same books in English language at home so I said no. He asked me if I can give some donation to ISKCON, Munich. I wanted to give some donation heartfully but have no exact amount in cash and said to him that I have no change. In return he replied, he can give me change if I give him any paper currency. So I gave him x amount and asked to keep 1/4 th of it and return 3/4 th to me. Then he gave me 1/2 in return and refused to give remaining instead handed me 2 books which were in his hand and said is that okay? I said him I can't read those books as I am not good at German. He is neither taking the books from me nor giving me my change back.

I'm writing this not because of money but the attitude.

There is no use of distributing books that are in German language forcefully to those who doesn't know German. In my case if no German guy takes those books from me, they will be in book shelf for ever. I hope, that is not Prabhupad's mission.

This is not the correct way of asking donation. ISKCON is very successful in spreading Krishna consciousness among the people. Donation is what people give to the development of the organization heartfully. Such kind of attitude will disturb the reputation of ISKCON.

I kindly request the management to not to force people in anyways during book distribution or Harinam. That actually creates negative impact. Please do not misunderstand this review.

ich weiß nicht, ob es hierbei gerechtfertigt ist, nur einen Stern abzugeben, aber ich schildere meine Erfahrung und Eindrücke auf ehrliche Art und Weise.

Es begann damit, erstmal in der Umgebung einen Parkplatz zu finden, was nicht einfach war. Es gibt keine direkten Parkplätze. Damit sollte man rechnen. Wer mit dem Auto kommen will, sollte sich dafür Zeit einplanen. Ungünstig für mich, weil ich dringend auf Toilette musste und es nicht konnte, weil ich mit Parkplatz-Suche beschäftigt war.

Den Parkplatz gefunden, machte ich mich auf die Suche zum sogenannten ,,Tempel". Es gibt keinerlei Beschilderung. Erst als ich vor der Tür stand und den Altar sah, war ich mir auch sicher, richtig zu sein. Es war schon nach 13:00 Uhr und niemand war da. Ich dachte zunächst vielleicht gibt es einen Hintereingang, weil man ja gewöhnlich nicht mit den dreckigen Straßenschuhen den Altar-Raum betreten sollte. Aber es gibt kein Hintereingang. Aufgrund der sehr sehr kleinen Größe des Gebäudes war ich mir auch sogar unsicher, ob es dort eine Toilette gibt, geschweige denn eine Küche, wo es dann auch Prasadam gibt. Ich dachte mir nur ,,Ist das euer Ernst??"

All diese Eindrücke bewegten mich dazu, wieder ins Auto zu steigen und wieder nach Hause zu fahren. War dann bei der Tankstelle auf der Toilette.

Dann lese ich eben zuhause Srimad Bhagavatam und praktiziere hingebungsvollen Dienst ganz alleine. Das macht mich schon etwas traurig.

Man sollte es schon für den noch nicht Eingeweihten Bhakta leichter machen, mit der Gemeinschaft in Kontakt zu treten, um in dienenden Austausch kommen zu können. Wenn es schon dabei scheitert, den Tempel zu finden usw., wie soll dann das Krishna-Bewusstsein denn nach draußen gebracht werden, wenn man sich nicht sicher sein kann, am richtigen Ort zu sein, sich willkommen zu fühlen...?? Es muss ja kein roter Teppich ausgebreitet werden, dass verlangt auch niemand.

Auch warum steht neben dem Eingang ein Info-Brett von der Kirche?? Warum gibt´s sowas nicht für uns?? Ich vermisse da den Kontakt zu den...
