Beautiful. As another reviewer has stated, building & story great, interior not so great. I'd add that the grounds are fabulous, the extended estate is massive & if you wanted a day cycling you're spoilt for choice. We don't have children, but were still very impressed by the wonderful play area to the rear of the building. The food & drink are great, staff are friendly & knowledgeable, and it probably has the best gift shop of anywhere I've ever been in the world, although you probably do need to like England just...

From the information in the holiday guides I was expecting something else. In my opinion the house and grounds were a bit underwhelming although it was nice to see this house restored and to its former glory being careful to maintain the feeling.
