A very elegant museum, not much in the museum itself just the artwork. But I think it beautifully portrayed the expressionist ideas of Franz Marc and the ideas off 20th century painters, there is also a beautiful room with four chairs in it where you have a splendid view of the lake and mountains. The whole thing is just very nice it's remote and minimalistic with only the painting being a pop of color in the establishment. But now the negatives, I would've really liked a larger exhibit, as the flors didn't have many paintings, which even though it looked nice, at the end of the day there weren't many paintings in there. Also the name is kinda misleading, it says Franz Marc museum but most of the art is from other blue rider and expressionist Painters. But overall a nice experience and I would...

The museum is much smaller than you might think and the exposition does not seem to tell a story, only presents some random bits. There are three floors: EG - temporary exhibition, 1 - Franz Marc pictures and other works, 2 - pictures of related artists. The modern museum building is quite interesting. There is a museum shop and a nearby cafe. You can well cope to do the visit in under 90 minutes. There is a small park nearby and a walking panorama path starting at the top of the...

This Google Map location is not accurate. From here, you need to look around and follow direction signs to the museum carefully through an uphill climb. The museum is right next to the “Cafe Frank am See” pin on the map.

There are lockers available for €1 which was great for backpackers.

Audio guides and exhibition information are only available in German. Only 1 English guide about the museum was available for loan on request, or you can choose to...

Very beautiful collection from the artists of Der Blue Reiter movement. There are facilities for people on wheel chairs, children and visually impaired people. What is strange is that they do not allow taking pictures, and there is a man on every floor to keep on eye on visitors, perhaps to help the visitors as well. There is also a small gift shop and a cafe. The surroundings make the place an amazing experience for visitors.
