Strandbad Windgfällweiher — Attraction in Lenzkirch

My favourite place in this area for swimming and a nice peaceful low-key day in nature. You can bring your binoculars and look for the beavers, in the protected bit, where the swimmers/SUPs can’t go.

The lake is warm to swim in, and the bottom is sandy. There are nice entry platforms so you don’t have to stumble over any stones.

paddle board rental is great and the people who run the whole place are friendly and helpful. It has a really nice atmosphere.

Entry costs peanuts and the kiosk is also very good value. No parking charge. No locker charge. No pointless whatever charge. And you can also park your motorhome for the night for a cost, in their parking bays.

English see below. Francais ci-dessous. Gemütlicher Badeort. Der Eintritt beträgt 3 EUR für Erwachsene. Für den Hunger gibt es Eis und Snacks wie bspw. Flammkuchen. Der Zugang zum Wasser ist super und es hat einen Sandboden, zudem werden auch SUP angeboten für EUR 18 die Stunde (dies reicht locker für 1-2 Runden um den Weiher und ist ein riesen Spass). Wir haben uns ein SUP geteilt.

Cosy place. Entrance is EUR 3 per adult. They are open till 7 pm and offer: Icecream, Snacks, place to swim & SUP Rental for 18 EUR per hour (its enough for 1-2 rounds around the lake and its such a blast).

In der Hauptsaison bei schönem Wetter hoffnungslos überfüllt. Nur für Menschen ohne Berührungsängste. Hängt wahrscheinlich auch vom Vergleich ab. Titisee und Schluchsee sind sicher noch überlaufener. Wäre auch gut, wenn mit der PCB Belastung im Seesediment offener umgegangen würde. Ich persönlich denke nicht, dass die Badequalität dadurch beeinträchtigt ist. In der Nebensaison bei durchwachsenem Wetter sicher 5 Sterne wert. Das Personal ist freundlich. Eintritt und 30 min SUP Verleih in der Schwarzwaldcard inklusive. Also: Selber ein Bild davon machen.
