Very interesting small museum! We found it more interesting than the visitorcenter at the Grube. Very friendly lady at the museum who spoke good English and who had been digging at the site before it became Unesco site. Really worth a visit. We found a small free parkingplace...

Downstairs is the local museum, upstairs are the fossils from the nearby Grube Messel. A good collection (better than what the museum at the pit has). Most are casts, the originals are elsewhere, but several are the real thing. Nice...
