Burg Mitterfels comprises several medieval and modern buildings plus the ruins of a medieval castle. You can walk through the ruins, but be sure to also take the nature trail along the bottom edge of the walls from the parking lot back around to the church for a better view of the forest and vine-covered walls. The museum is in one of the medieval buildings and has an extensive collection of 19th and 20th century artifacts from the area.
