Great museum about the history of the Unimog. They have an interesting collection of Unimogs. During our visit we also learned about the history of the city of Gaggenau. The city has the oldest still operating automobile factory in the world (dating back to 1893). The car brands Orient Express, Gaggenau, Unimog and Mercedes-Benz have made history in Gaggenau. I also liked the information about how the factory workers spent their leisure time. The museum is not only for looking at Unimogs, you can also drive in one on a bumpy test site. The museum organises several special events during the year (see for this the website).

There is a small shop with books, car models and merchandising. Very...

This place is awesome. I didn’t know about the history of UNIMOG at all, and the way that they listed out the exhibit was inspiring. There was a bit of a problem with logging onto the wifi and having the English part of the app, but they have a physical booklet in the front that you can take around. Really interesting history on what happened after WWII and German engineering took a “farm vehicle” to the next stage. 😆 the bathrooms are downstairs, when you first enter the lobby. You should definitely get a ride as well. Seeing the exhibit, understanding the engineering, and then riding in a...
