Peacefull, positive place to switch off the busy mind, immerse into nature and "just be" for a while. Smiling, calm and content faces are at home here.
I'm travelling back home to Berlin and reminiscing over the last 3 days in the midst of Brandenburg. My stay in Tharpa Land was magical! I feel changed, down on this wonderful earth, more like me again. Relaxed, refreshed and even myself peacefull - as if my inner batteries are recharged and I'm ready to meet the big city once again.
If you had just seen me on arrival - agitated, stressed, pale, tired, ready to "burst" with all that negativity and tension filling up the last months.
And then there are those good people, awaiting you with opened hands, allowing you into their special world for a bit. A precious bit! A moment in time when one can come back to their senses, see and feel the nature around again.
If you'd like to give a modern Buddhist teaching a go - Devi makes it incredibly easy and approachable, and garnered with that special GB sense of humor ;) I even forgot to look at my watch.
And an extra "bonus" turned out to be that digital detox, made sure by no coverage (it seems like only my Congstar net wasn't there). After a few hours I didn't seem to mind.
The freshly made international and crazy creative meals are making you glow! Clean, vast, light spaces all around the house, especially the mediation room. Sincerely friendly residents, welcoming you from the door straight away. Birds never stop chirping, as if the forest is singing too. You can start breathing again, sensing again, wishing again. Just wonderful!
I already planned my next stay with the first rays of mobile connection I got in the train and only feel sorry about it not being already next month.
If you're searching for a place to simply rest your overfilled big-city-head, breathe nature in and "just be here & now" - Tharpa Land is a great...

I'll never forget this experience! Sending you all...
Read moreANYONE WHO ARE THINKING OF GOING THERE TO CALM YOUR MIND AND MEDITATE, I URGE YOU TO DO SOME RESEARCH ABOUT WHAT THEY TEACH AND THEIR ORIGIN. THE SO CALLED KADAMPA TRADITION IS NOT A LEGITIMATE SUB BRANCH OF BUDDHISM AS IT ADVOCATES AGAINST NON-SECTARIAN AND HOLDS A VERY ONE SIDED POINT OF VIEW TOWARDS THE OTHER SUB-BRANCHES OF TIBETAN BUDDHISM. I AM SAYING THIS BECAUSE I DON'T WANT ANY INNOCENT VICTIM WHO REALLY ARE NEW TO TIBETAN BUDDHISM TO GET FOOLED BY THIS NEW KADAMPA...
