Allgäu Coaster (toboggan run) — Attraction in Oberstdorf

Great fun, much longer and faster than other coasters we have tried. There are two things to be aware of: in high season and good weather there can be very long queue at the top (we had to wait about 1 hour in May), though there is a children’s play area beside the queuing area, and also when it is busy, watch out for a traffic jam ahead. If you are in the area you must go take one ride.

It's located at the base of the ski slopes, it runs over the road, it has a lot of turns, you can catch speeds up to 40km/h. At least that's what I reached

Wir kommen seit vielen Jahren im Familienverbund hier her und genießen den Urlaub in vollen Zügen. Jedoch hat sich hier an dem Allgäu Coaster vieles zum Negativen entwickelt. Der Preis ist eine absolute Frechheit. Vor allem wenn man die VR Version nutzen möchte.

Dann muss nämlich ein VR Ticket gelöst werden und ein normales Ticket zusätzlich. Weil der VR Nutzer, jedoch nur Beifahrer sein darf, muss also noch ein Ticket gelöst werden für den Fahrer ! Das geht bei einem Ticketpreis von über 6€ mal gar nicht ! Zumindest nicht, wenn man dann das Gebotene ins Verhältnis setzt.

Die Fahrt dauert ca 2-3 Minuten und die Strecke ist schon schön. Der Speed hängt immer etwas davon ab, wie ängstlich der Vordermann ist.

Negativ ist uns in diesem Jahr (Juli 2020) aufgestoßen, dass die Mitarbeiter höchst unfreundlich waren !!! Dies war bei beiden Besuchen im Urlaub der Fall, also kann leider nicht von Tagesform die Rede sein.

Insgesamt also schade, dass der tolle Coaster sich in eine solche Richtung entwickelt durch das unfreundliche Personal und die heftige Preisstruktur, welche in keinem...
