Burg Wolfsegg — Attraction in Pielenhofen-Wolfsegg (VGem)

Quit place. The Burg itself is not so interesting, but if you like old stones as I do - you'll like it. Intersting is that people live in a buildings nearby, in the same houses. It's a bit ureal because they live in a place that must be a some kind of museum.

Parking is located near the school. Not possible to get closer but it's not a problem if you're not old :)

It's worth a couple of hours of your time if you're somewhere near this place. In other case I'm not sure this place worth any...

We have always been a fan of good horror stories and like to explore places with a good ghost story. We went to the Wolfsegg Burg from Regensburg and the castle itself was lovely. It was a simple stone manor that has seen better days and different owners for past few centuries. Ich verstehe die ganzen mittelmäßigen Bewertungen nicht… Die Burgruine Kallmünz ist nur eine Ruine und hat fast nur 5 Sterne…Hier haben wir noch eine richtige Burg! Und nicht nur das, mit sehr kleinem Eintrittsgeld kann man nicht nur die Burg, sondern auch toll aufbereitete Ausstellungen besuchen. Einige Räume sind sogar Multimedial. Man sieht einfach, dass hier Leute dahinter sind, die versuchen das Beste aus den begrenzten finanziellen Mitteln zu schaffen.

Und ja, die Burg wurde in einem Tal gebaut und darum ist die Aussicht nicht ewig sein. Aber das ist doch kein Grund für eine schlechte Bewertung!
