If you are looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway in Germany, you should definitely visit Brombachsee. Brombachsee is a large artificial lake that was created by damming the Altmühl river. It is part of the Franconian Lake District, which offers many opportunities for outdoor activities and cultural experiences.

Brombachsee is a great place to enjoy nature and water sports. You can swim, sail, surf, kayak, or rent a pedal boat. The water is clean and refreshing, and there are several beaches and bays to choose from. You can also explore the lake by bike or on foot, as there are many trails and paths that run along the shore. You will be amazed by the beautiful views of the lake and the surrounding forests and hills.

Brombachsee is also rich in history and culture. You can visit the Roman Museum in Weißenburg, which displays artifacts and exhibits from the ancient Roman settlement of Biriciana. You can also see the impressive remains of the Limes, the frontier wall that marked the border of the Roman Empire. If you are interested in medieval architecture, you can check out the castles and churches in the nearby towns of Gunzenhausen, Spalt, and Absberg.

Brombachsee is a perfect destination for anyone who loves nature, history, and culture. It is easy to reach by car or public transport, and there are many accommodation options to suit your budget and preferences. You will have a wonderful time at Brombachsee, and you will want to come back...

Lovely place, very organised and clean, a lot of places to eat and swim... I have done a 55km cycle around the both lakes and it was one of the best lake tour ever. There are beach many volleyball and other beach activities around. The cycle lane all around the both lakes are very well taken care of and wide enough. The scenery from early morning or sunset is just lovely all around. Would highly recommend to do a round trip of both lakes, easy enough (flat enough) for the whole...

Beautiful big lake in Bavaria just south of Nuremberg! The lake waters are quite clean and there are many activities done here including swimming, stand-up paddling, boating, taking the cruise round etc. There's a wonderful walking and cycling path around the lake shores and the atmosphere is very calm and serene. There are sandy beaches too at some points which are a very popular spot for tourists and locals during sunny days! Definitely worth a visit...
