This is one of the interesting Caves I have ever seen in Europe. It is considered the longest cave in Germany and here in the Franconian Switzerland this is the largest Cave. We joined the tour guided visit inside the cave one afternoon. It took us 45 minutes to see all these well known Stalactites and Stalagmites stone formations. Some were awesomely formed like animals and hanging tobacco leaves. Coloured lights made the environment a little bit fascinating. The area is well organized with well secured iron steps and good lighted that you will never be afraid to walk along this long ways. But please pay attention to bring sweaters or warm clothing inside because it is cold in here and wear good shoes because it can be slippery bec. the grounds are wet and humid. At the end of the Cave is a fantastic narrow Gorge that looks very awesome to see as if you are in the world of fairy-tales :-). Before you can go out to your car there is a hanging Restaurant where you can take snacks or...

Very cool cave with different chambers and many interesting features.

🚼 Difficult to visit with a baby/toddler. Stroller use is impossible. Even using a wearable carrier (front or back) is not ideal, as some passageways are very tight and ceilings can be low to the point of having to bend or stoop while walking through.

🧥🌂🥾💦 Recommended attire: water resistant jacket, hiking boots. The interior of the cave is chilly, and many parts of the cave floor are naturally wet and can be slippery. Watch the weather if you’re planning a visit! It rained unexpectedly and heavily when we went, and the exit of the cave was suddenly flooded with rushing water. After exiting, there is also a short walk in the open air down the mountain to...

The tour guide was knowledgeable and engaging, though I found them to be less kind and respectful than expected. The tour lasted about an hour, which was great for those who want to explore without feeling rushed. However, for some people, especially those with claustrophobia, the length could be a bit much. There are some narrow corridors, so it might be a good idea to reduce the number of visitors to avoid large crowds and long queues.

Overall, it’s still definitely a must-see for anyone interested in natural wonders or geology. Don’t miss out on this hidden...
