Drinks are great, food is mediocre, and staff is INCREDIBLY rude. We live close by, and frequent the establishment. I have had several instances of passive aggressive rude customer service, to the most recent of down-right nasty service. Here are several examples over the course of a few months and with different members of their staff: 1. Tried to reserve a table (which I have seen done on many occasions) and after several of the staff conferred with one another, was told they don’t take reservations, 2. Have been obviously passed over while waiting in line for food/drinks, 3. Had to wait 20 min for pommes while people behind me in line received them, then when I asked about them was rudely ask “are you sure you paid?”, 4. Was given the wrong amount of change (over €10 difference) , and when asked, got chastised. 5. Was yelled at and told not to bring pizza from Seewoog Pizzaria to their establishment (I.e. the park and table section). We apologized not knowing it wasn’t allowed (even though many people close by had pizza), put the pizza away, then 2 hours later same lady came by and started yelling at someone in our party about the pizza; even though it had not been touched for over 2 hours. In my opinion, the staff DO NOT like non-German speaking customers. And , I...
Read moreThe Seewoog park is very pretty and a great place for mothers to push strollers and people to walk their dogs. There is a snack bar that sells beer (currently closed at this time due to covid) with many outdoor picnic tables for people to congregate, eat, drink, read, whatever. There is also a playground, and a few walking/biking trails that encompass the lake and branch off into the woods. Lastly, across the street from the park is a pizzeria with probably the best wood fired pizza in the county. My problem with Seewoog is that it is so popular that it's hard to find a place to park your car and there are people and dogs everywhere. I suggest going there during the week or in the morning. It's a good place for families. If you go,...
Read moreExperience a Narnia Winter during the cold season at Seewoog. As for now, I have only visited during the chilly winter months. Nevertheless, I have thoroughly enjoyed these daily walks. Although there may be a great chill in the air at times, the frosty tree lined trails are walkable and the stillness is incredibly peaceful. The walk around the lake is quite magical when the sun hits the thin layer of frozen ice quite right. When the mood strikes, there is also a charming kiosk where you can purchase warm drinks, such as Glüwein, and all sorts of other comfort foods to add to...
