Was lucky enough to see masts of a boat passing as otherwise vegetation blocks any view of rhe Rhein/Altrhein... An info board gives helpful background to King Gustav's bold Rhine crossing in 1631 that took his enemies by surprise. In such a secluded spot in the forest, hard to imagine that in the 17th century, Swedes and Spanish were busy laying waste to this part of Europe! Area needs a little attention, rather overgrown and benches could be refreshed. More info boards would be a bonus! 5-10 minute walk from carpark.

Eine sehr historische Stelle, die einen Einblick in den 30-jährigen Krieg gibt. Vor Ort gibt es neben der Schwedensäule Sitzgelegenheiten mit kleinen Tischen. Für Wanderer ist es ein kleiner im Wald gelegener Rastplatz. Die Bänke und die Tische sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, ansonsten ist es für die Geschichte vor Ort ein guter Wegpunkt. Eine Erläuterungstafel befindet sich ebenfalls vor Ort. Der Besuch ist kostenlos.

Es lohnt sich mal vorbei zu schauen, je nach Jahreszeit sollte man Anti-Brum nicht vergessen. Der Weg 7 ist auch mit dem Fahrrad zu befahren, stellenweise ziemlich eng, bei Gegenverkehr heißt es absteigen.
