Alter Buchen - und Eichenbestand, auch Fichten und Hainbuchen. Sehr gute Wander- und Radwege. Übersichtliche beschilderte Wege. Ein Hauptweg führt vom Kurpark Bad Bentheim nach Schüttorf über den Gasthof " Beim Waldbauern." Im Frühling ist der Wald vom Gasthof " Beim Waldbauern " bis zum " Annaheim " in Schüttorf mit einem Blütenteppich von Buschwindröschen bedeckt. Auch blühender Hainsauerklee -Waldveilchen- Scharbockskraut - Primeln und Sumpfdotterblume...

Bijzonder mooi woud waarin de edelherten in de bronsttijd geweldig zijn om te zien. De Rammelbecke doorsnijdt dit bos fraai. Vanaf de grens Duitsland-Nederland is dit natuurgebied via de A1(NL) en D(A30) binnen 15 minuten te bereiken. Een goede parkeerplek is aan de Deilmannstrasse, ten noorden van de spoorlijn Oldenzaal-Bad Bentheim. Vanaf die plek...
