Aussichtsturm Meuro-Stolln — Attraction in Schipkau

Not as high as it might seem (like 30-35m maybe), but enough to make an impression. Maybe even a little scary if you're acrophobic. Cool view of Lausitz Ring, a huge abandoned excavator and post-industrial landscape covered with forest is included. Probably even better when it's not foggy. Access is relatively easy with buses and on foot. One thing I didn't understand is why do they close it in the evening before dark. Probably safety issues... At least in summer it doesn't get dark before 9-10 p.m. but they...

No tickets were necessary you just walk up the platforms stairwell about 200 something steps. On a clear day you can see blue wonder excavator a solar farm. Some wooded areas and the town from which you drove in. If you have a bike there is a dirt bike park...

Schade, dass wir (Urlauber) erst in 2023 auf diesen tollen Aussichtsturm aufmerksam geworden sind. Ein echte Perle mit einem wirklich coolen Rundumblick - z. Bsp. auf den Lausitz-Ring gleich nebenan. Auch das "Bagger-Monster" ist toll anzusehen. Schön ist der gut befestigte (kurze) Fußweg zum Turm direkt vom Parkplatz aus. Interessant ist der gut hergerichtete Stollen -Eingang in kurzer Entfernung. Noch ein paar Informationen mehr zum Stollen, vielleicht auf einer Schautafel, wären sehr schön.
