Durch die heutige Nutzung durch den Landkreis ist der dauerhafte Erhalt des von außen sehenswerten, historischen Gebäudes wohl gesichert. Ich muß bekennen, von dem Bayernherzog des frühen Mittelalters noch niemals etwas gehört zu haben, der sich dort einige Zeit aufgehalten hat, woran ein Gedenkstein und ein überlebensgroßes Gemälde an der Außenfassade erinnern.
