Mainberg Castle is one of the most lovely places I have ever been. Having been a groundskeeper of the castle for about 3 weeks, I was honored to be able to be the one to bring the grounds back to their glory. Unfortunately, it would not be so. The castle itself is currently in private ownership, and they are unable to afford any amenities needed, such as electricity, heating, gardeners and even cleaning staff. With that in mind the castle is slowly falling into ruin. as they are unable to pay for the needed renovations and preservations. It is such a shame seeing this beautiful and historic building slowly die. The city should intervene and force the purchase of the castle to someone who will renovate and preserve it properly. The alternative is visiting a pile of stones in the next couple years where a castle once stood.

Dennoch hätte ich mir gern den inneren Bereich angesehen, deswegen geht man ja auch ein Schloss oder eine Burg besuchen. Man möchte es sich ansehen. Aber leider ist es derzeit...
