Had been one of my dreams to visit the house of the legend in gravitational physics. A long walk will let you into the house, there are no postings until very end, so keep Google map handy. The house is open on weekends and holidays 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The morning guided tour is in English, rest are in German. Since we reached around 4:05 pm we had to explore of our own. The entry fee is 4 euro. The rooms are mostly empty, very well maintained and the terrace has a long view. Overall, I...

Was a simple plain home with little information about Einstein. They could have a few digital artefacts to educate people about Einstein’s life. Especially in days when the guide is on sick leave - which is what happened on the day we visited. People who visit Einstein home can leave with a sense of wonder and awe of his achievements - which is not...

Wonderful cottage from Einstein. The Einstein House is a wooden house built in 1929 in Caputh, about six kilometres south of Potsdam. It was occupied from 1929 to 1932 by Albert Einstein and his wife Elsa as well as their two daughters and a domestic servant. It was a summer house, but was used almost all year round except for the cold winter...
