This is a dam built in the late 70s. Not huge, but still interesting if you like engineering like this. There is a little visitors information board with construction photos and explanations, but only in German. Google translate can do a fine job to help you out, though. I misunderstood the road signs and took my motorcycle to get there but motor vehicles are not allowed and I was informed by a kind local...

Very nice and quiet place - ideal for a walk. Apart from the beautiful nature a lot of information about the fascinating history of the Wehebachtalsperre (reservoir for drinking water) is available on info panels. We had a nice chat with a super friendly employee of the company operating the reservoir and water...

Good destination for a hike, bike ride or just a pick-nick. Go there by car or bus, for a small hike up to the dam, or a big one around the lake. Very interesting place to walk among the beautiful German nature. Keep in mind that from the parking to this exact location is like 30 min walk or bicycling. The parking lot is free of charge. Only for nature lovers, they will love it.
