Das Marokkanisches Haus im Schlosspark neuerer Zeit konnten die Hundinghütte und die Einsiedlerhütte des Gurnemanz wieder aufgebaut werden. Diese Kleinarchitekturen hatte sich Ludwig II. 1876 bzw. 1878 ursprünglich wenige Kilometer westlich von Linderhof inmitten des Ammergauer Bergwaldes erbauen lassen. Das Marokkanische Haus wurde im Auftrag von Ludwig II. auf der Pariser Weltausstellung 1878 käuflich erworben und hier her nach Linderhof gebracht. Nach dem Tod des Königs wurde das Marokkanische Haus nach Oberammergau verkauft, wo es in einem Garten langsam verfiel. Inzwischen hat man das Haus 1980 zurückgekauft, sorgfältig restauriert und an einem neuen, näher beim Schloss gelegenen Standort wieder aufgebaut, wo es jetzt seit 1998 im Schlosspark steht. Sehr sehenswert 🤩

The Moroccan House was bought by King Ludwig and transported to Bavaria. It's currently open to viewing, but shielded off by glass panels to preserve the interior. It has very expensive interior fabrics, carpets, tiles, and more - very intriguing...
