Rötteln Castle — Attraction in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Lörrach

It's on the hill and I recommend coming on a sunny day, since one can climb up the towers and admire the Lörrach panorama. The museum at the castle is pretty small, though has some cute historical artifacts, I believe more of the archeological finds from the Burg are to be seen in other regional museums. The Burg in itself could use more info tables in my opinion, since it's one of the mightiest in the region. I'd appreciate more archeological information and finds. It's a great spot to visit, though it misses on marketing, I believe all people working there do it voluntary which is impressing anyways. I recommend taking some food with you, there are picknick tables and there is also an option to go hiking through the forest...

Wieder eine absolute Empfehlung! Für groß und klein ein toller Ausflug!

Die Burg ist verhältnismäßig groß, viel verwinkelt und macht einfach nur Spaß zu entdecken.

Es sind einige Stufen bis ganz oben zu überwinden, teilweise auch sehr schmal, aber oben angekommen kann man stolz auf sich sein und hat einen tollen Ausblick.

Zwischendrin kann man immer wieder auf verschiedenen Plattformen ein kleines Picknick oder Trinkpausen machen. Es sind super tolle Fotospots dabei :-)

Mein Sohn ist 11 Jahre alt und hatte einen rießen Spaß....

Wir haben alt und jung getroffen. Ist also wie gesagt für jeden was!

Der nette "Opi" an der Kasse/im Shop ist sehr freundlich und herzlich. Haben ihm gerne etwas an Erinnerungsstücken abgekauft. Und der "Eintritt" ist wirklich minimal und absolut jeden Cent wert. Auch das kleine Burgmuseum ist toll anzuschauen.

Das direkt angrenzende Bistro hat uns allerdings nicht zugesagt. Das Personal schien ungelernt und damit überfordert, das Essen kam getrennt obwohl man in einer minimal kleinen Gruppe da war und die Preise waren naja. Besteck wurde uns vergessen zu geben, sodass das Essen dann schon halb kalt war bevor wir anfangen konnten usw.

Ansonsten viel Spaß beim Ausflug!

PS. Wir waren knapp zwei Stunden in der Burg, aber ist auch schneller oder weniger schnell zu schaffen. So wie...

This was a very cool place and definitely something to check out of you're in the area. The castle is full of history and it's a really fun place to explore. Make sure you get to the top of the tower, the view from up there is absolutely stunning. The restaurant in the courtyard has great food and great beer. However, I was informed that she poured my cola-beer in the wrong order. Besides that, this place is a great place to visit...
