A captivating experience that I would rate at four stars. The opportunity to interact with a diverse range of primates in a semi-wild environment was truly engaging and left a positive impression on me. Watching the monkeys roam freely and exhibit their natural behaviors was a rare and enjoyable sight. The dedication of the staff to the well-being of the animals was evident throughout my visit. Their passion for educating visitors about the primates and their conservation status was commendable and added depth to the experience. The feeding sessions were a highlight, allowing for up-close interactions with the monkeys. Seeing their playful antics and curiosity up close was a memorable and heartwarming experience. While the overall experience was positive, I did find some areas of the facility to be slightly crowded, particularly during peak visiting times. This occasionally made it challenging to fully immerse myself in the experience and observe the primates without distractions. In summary, Affenberg Salem provides an educational and entertaining opportunity to connect with nature and observe primates in a unique setting. The commitment to animal welfare and conservation efforts is praiseworthy. With a bit of attention to managing crowd flow, it could offer an even more immersive and enjoyable experience. I left with a greater understanding of these incredible creatures and a memorable experience to cherish. A solid...

We had a really frustrating and disappointing experience at the Affenberg Tree Walk. After patiently queuing for 30 minutes, the person in charge told my sister she had to queue again simply because we were accompanying a child under 5 years old—which we weren’t even aware was an issue until that moment. No clear communication beforehand, just a cold and abrupt instruction to start over.

The walk itself was underwhelming. You mostly just see trees, with very few monkeys in sight. Don’t expect them to come anywhere near you. Honestly, the whole thing felt like a tourist trap—minimal interaction, minimal information, and certainly not worth the time or the money.

Would not recommend, especially if you're going with kids or expecting any sort of engaging...

I had a great time at the park. There was ample parking. The directions were clear and there was staff present always. They are more than happy to tell the visitors about the animals in the park. There were also quizzes to test the visitors' knowledge about the monkeys. We paid 35 euros for 2 adults, inclusive of the Tree Top Walk which allows visitors to walk along bridges and see the monkeys even more closely, especially the babies. The monkeys are allowed to roam freely within the park. One might find themselves sharing a bench with the animals. Of course, visitors are advised to stay at least 2m from the animal. In addition tomonkeys, there were also a deer enclosure and a pond with ducks and swans. We visited the gift shop and had a light lunch...

It's a holiday that's not far away. I didn't know there was a lovely monkey zoo nearby in Salem, Germany. There is an open zoo where the German monkeys live. From the line it is a semi-open, semi-closed, relatively well-managed, which, by the looks of the monkeys, is well-fed. In addition to the monkeys that are the highlight of the park, there are other animals that live around the small clear lake, where the water animals live. There are restaurants, drinks, at a low price and a clean taste for the children. This is a place where you can experience and learn about the biology of animals. There are many children with their parents on holidays.
