This is quite the experience! Brought our three kids ages 6, 4, and 2 years today on a September Sunday afternoon. In short, this is a very large museum with several halls of vehicles of ALL kinds, sport and military memorabilia, antiques, instruments, etc - if it is "technical", it's probably here. Beyond that, there are tons of interactive things - that can be turned on with 1-2 euros (kind of irritating given the high price point just to enter) or even entered (namely the planes that are on the roofs of the buildings). Most signs had German and English, which was great, and the staff spoke English very well. In addition, there is an iMAX theater that had 5 or 6 options at varying times, BUT we couldn't do it as no one younger than 4 could see an iMAX movie. There is a food kiosk near the movie theater in the main hall by the entrance/kasse, which is also where the gift shop is (full of toys, souvenirs, and books), but it looked like typical fast food, so we elected to eat at the actual restaurant across the walking path, which was VERY good, if a bit expensive, and very fast (will leave a separate detailed review for that location). Last, but not least, there is a great playground outside that has the usual playground items - swing, climbing frame, spring rides, slides, etc - but also several paid attractions like a zipline chair, a plane with two slides, and some sort of mini roller coaster that were SO much fun (though there is a free slide from a plane in the second hall, just to keep in mind). We flew through the museum as our children have short attention spans and endurance, and it still took us about 2 hours in total. There were several bathrooms - outside of the hall near the entrance, in the first hall, in the second hall, and in the restaurantm, just to name a few; I think there may have been more and they were all clean and free. There is a large parking lot, which was actually fuller than the museum today as there was some sort of outdoor bicycling festival going on in front of the museum. Overall, this is a GREAT way to spend a day with kids of all ages (or without!). Plan to spend a few hours there, and keep in mind a large portion is outdoors so not necessarily the best rainy day activity (also due to the amount of outdoor staircases you have to climb to get inside the planes), but definitely good for cooler weather as the bulk of the attractions are indoors. The indoor areas are wheelchair and stroller accessible, but I doubt there is a way for the rooftop and planes to be accessible. Bring food and/or enjoy the several refreshment options there, and expect to spend a decent amount of money both for entrance (I believe it was 50ish for two adults and one kid over 5), rides and interactive displays you choose to pay for (usually 1-2 euros each), and food. Also, if you enjoy this, consider Speyer's technic museum, as it seems that they have some different attractions.

If you're an enthusiast of cars, aviation, or technology, a visit to the Frankfurt/Stuttgart area wouldn't be complete without a stop at the Technic Museum Sinsheim. Conveniently situated within an easy driving distance, this museum offers an unparalleled journey through the evolution of machinery from its earliest iterations to the cutting-edge marvels of today. One of the most striking aspects of Technic Museum Sinsheim is its comprehensive coverage. Whether you're interested in the humble beginnings of basic machines or the pinnacle of luxury vehicles, this museum has something to captivate every visitor. What's more, the museum provides a thrilling exit option for some of these planes—guests can slide down from the aircraft into the main buildings, Moreover, Technic Museum Sinsheim caters to families with interactive play areas for kids, both indoors and outdoors. Children can engage in hands-on activities and explore their curiosity about technology in a fun and interactive environment. In addition to its impressive exhibits and interactive features, Technic Museum Sinsheim boasts an IMAX theater and interactive play areas for kids, both indoors and outdoors. This is one of the largest collections I have ever seen, and it has a little bit of everything, entry is quite cheap, and a great price for the amazing vehicles and artifacts you will see, with the addition bonus of a 10,000 step workout. You start with a tour of Halle 1, though a primarily American collection of sports cars, which include a Ford GT, a C5 Corvette, and a 1965 Mustang, just to name a few, then heading up the stairs, there is an elaborate history display of World War II, with fascinating exhibits which include a crashed WWII plane that was scavenged from the ocean floor, a panther tank with moving tracks, and a moving turret. Continuing on to the outdoor exhibit where various tanks are on display, as well as a helicopter. Heading to Halle 2, you are greeted with a crashed Porsche, followed up with a great demonstration of trains, and sports cars from all different eras, which include the like of the Ferrari F40, Lamborghini Countach, and many F1 cars. Continuing on, there is a 24H of Le Mans display with cars like a GT40 (Replica), legendary Porsche cars, and new Toyota Hybrid hyper-cars. Going to the roof, the main attraction is the legendary Concorde, which you can go inside, and view the awesome exhibit of this historic masterpiece. There are many other planes that have tours, one of them has a slide that brings you back to Halle 2. The food tastes great, but beware, there are no free refills on drinks. The gift shop contains a number of cool memorabilia, and shirts, a great selection to choose from. Overall a fantastic experience, and a great showcase of all these legendary vehicles. Tried to post the pictures in order, but the videos come first.

I am sorry for the critique, but there are a few things in my mind. The positive is that it's a fair ticket price, and there is plenty of exhibits. I drove to see the TU144 myself. A real highlight, particularly flying parallel to the Concorde. But there are a lot of improvements that can be made to be honest. It would be great to have the history of the specific exhibit one is looking at. But my biggest issue is that I think that a few of the German airplanes are not really accurate. The white airplane presented as a Heinel HE111 on all plaques, on their website and on their book is in fact not a HE111... It's a Spanish made Casa, made postwar, painted as a German aircraft. This can be seen when looking at the typical engine shape. It would be good to actually explain this... They both look very similar for the casa was made under licence with the original plans, but it's not a heinkel... The BF109G has a canopy that is not original and looks pretty amateurish... The ju88 has a glass front that is way too long and not accurate,...the plane doesn't look at all like it should, being way too pointy. This, I need to say, is a bit of a downer for me. So this is why I give a neutral rating. Because it should be improved, and if the planes themselves can't be worked on then at least tell the visitors where the inaccuracies exist.

This is place for transport & history enthusiast. The museum is full of different models of Car, Bikes, Trains and aeroplanes including the famous & legendary Concorde and Tupolev TU-144. The place is huge and may need more than 1 day to look at every part of the museum. The place also has enough things to keep the kids interested and busy - Keep some coins handy though as many kids attractions are to be paid separately. And if your kid is Car/Bike/Aeroplane enthusiast then this one is worth the visit. One of the interesting aspect is that one could walk into/climb into and take a look at most of the aeroplanes on display there - major attraction being the two Supersonic passenger planes! One could definitely feel and imagine how the atmosphere inside could be! Huge parking lot for which you pay but get a return when you buy the entrance tickets. A good place to go with friends and family for a day for sure

What an amazing place and an excellent museum. We stopped by chance on our return to Luxembourg from Stuttgart, and we're so glad we did so! The museum is absolutely huge and has a little bit of everything in it! Hours and hours of endless walking, with plenty of opportunities to stop and eat a different places. Plenty of exciting things for children to do outside of the museums! Parking was for free and plentiful! I went to with my 15-year-old who had a look of amazement on his face the whole time! I cannot wait to take my 10-year-old and my wife next time, and my 15-year-old stated that he would definitely go to this museum again! This will probably be the highlight of your museums, because we went to the Mercedes and Porsche museums in Stuttgart, but they were nothing near this museum in content! The only thing that was discouraging was that the IMAX theater was only in German.
