I visited Triburg with the main purpose of buying a cuckoo clock. I didn't plan on going inside, but just stopped by to see the large cuckoo clock outside. I had already purchased the cuckoo clock. I didn't know that they sell cuckoo clocks here, but there was a store, so I went in. Oh my... The price difference was more than 100 euros compared to the product I had already purchased. We discussed how to solve this problem and decided to refund the purchased product and buy it here. We bought it for ourselves as well as for gifts, so the price difference was big. The condition of the items were the same. After this, I went to the city store where it is sold, compared prices, but this place had the bes

I give two stars instead of one because the clock mechanism is impressive. However, the rest of the experience was quite negative: You pay 3 euros into an old slot machine. For that you need to walk back into the tourist shop to get coins. (They obviously want you to buy something there). Inside rhe museum you then have to put in another coin if you want to get a short audio explanation. From the outside the display is also not greatv The bird only exits a little bit and you have dozens of people trying to film the rather underwhelming show. Lastly there are 2 pendulums. They are not synchronised between them and don't seem to have a logical period like one per 2 seconds or the like either. I think the hole "world's biggest clock' is just a marketing effort to attract people to get to their tourist shop ... and I think it works for them. Really a tourist trap overall.

I visited this one looking for the famous "largest cuckoo clock" close to the city of Triberg. It turns out, that there are two! And apparently the most famous one is "Erste weltgrößte Kuckucksuhr"... well ok, I didn't know. Regarding this one, it's really big and impressive but a bit dull, and the "performance" at the o'clock times was rather disappointing. It was just the bird appearing and tweeting a bit... To see the clock inside you have to pay a 2€ fee, which is a symbolic and fair quantity in my opinion. But, I have to lower my rating stars because once you are inside, you are asked to pay another 1€ to reproduce a 5 min audio explanation about the clock. What?! I didn't bring more money with me, but in any case I don't think that was fair. Being inside the cuckoo was cool for us. I hope this is useful for you!

It was an ok place to visit, but unless you are driving or taking a tour, it was not really worth the stop. 2 Euros per person to see inside the clock was 'meh' at best, maybe 1 Euro would be better. Also the fact you have to pay to use the restroom is meh. If you are a part of a tour, then it probably isn't a bad place to g, otherwise not really worth the stop. If you are looking for Souviners, go to the Triberg city center. However, if you are looking for Grandfather clocks, then this place has some nice ones.

We went & visited mid morning. There was 2 coach loads of visitors already there. The big cuckoo clock can be viewed from both the front & the rear of the building. To see the actual clock workings requires an entry ticket which we didn’t purchase. There is also a shop with an extensive range of clocks which are absolutely beautiful. There is another area selling gifts etc. Good to visit for an hour but wouldn’t bother going again unless we were buying a clock!

The world's largest Cuckoo Clock is always open the entire day and every hour you can see how the entire thing works. Behind the Cuckoo clock there is another big Cuckoo clock which will work whenever you insert approx 2 Euros irrespective of the time. You also have a large shop for Cuckoo clock artifacts wherein you can buy clocks and see a variety of the same. Please make sure you first visit these shops as they close early in the evening at around 6 pm
