I visited Triburg with the main purpose of buying a cuckoo clock. I didn't plan on going inside, but just stopped by to see the large cuckoo clock outside. I had already purchased the cuckoo clock. I didn't know that they sell cuckoo clocks here, but there was a store, so I went in. Oh my... The price difference was more than 100 euros compared to the product I had already purchased. We discussed how to solve this problem and decided to refund the purchased product and buy it here. We bought it for ourselves as well as for gifts, so the price difference was big. The condition of the items were the same. After this, I went to the city store where it is sold, compared prices, but this place had the bes

Nestled in the heart of the Black Forest, this charming destination captures the timeless artistry of traditional German craftsmanship. It offers an impressive display of intricate cuckoo clocks, from grand, house-sized creations to finely detailed miniatures. The atmosphere blends rustic beauty with expert woodcarving, reflecting a deep-rooted cultural heritage. Visitors are treated to a delightful showcase of creativity, mechanical precision, and nostalgic charm, making it a must-visit for those seeking an authentic glimpse into regional traditions. I have never seen so many cuckoo clocks in my life. It’s out of the way, but an accompaniment to the Triberg waterfalls

I give two stars instead of one because the clock mechanism is impressive. However, the rest of the experience was quite negative: You pay 3 euros into an old slot machine. For that you need to walk back into the tourist shop to get coins. (They obviously want you to buy something there). Inside rhe museum you then have to put in another coin if you want to get a short audio explanation. From the outside the display is also not greatv The bird only exits a little bit and you have dozens of people trying to film the rather underwhelming show. Lastly there are 2 pendulums. They are not synchronised between them and don't seem to have a logical period like one per 2 seconds or the like either. I think the hole "world's biggest clock' is just a marketing effort to attract people to get to their tourist shop ... and I think it works for them. Really a tourist trap overall.

I visited this one looking for the famous "largest cuckoo clock" close to the city of Triberg. It turns out, that there are two! And apparently the most famous one is "Erste weltgrößte Kuckucksuhr"... well ok, I didn't know. Regarding this one, it's really big and impressive but a bit dull, and the "performance" at the o'clock times was rather disappointing. It was just the bird appearing and tweeting a bit... To see the clock inside you have to pay a 2€ fee, which is a symbolic and fair quantity in my opinion. But, I have to lower my rating stars because once you are inside, you are asked to pay another 1€ to reproduce a 5 min audio explanation about the clock. What?! I didn't bring more money with me, but in any case I don't think that was fair. Being inside the cuckoo was cool for us. I hope this is useful for you!

A must-visit if you’re in the Black Forest region! The World’s Largest Cuckoo Clock is not just a quirky roadside attraction—it’s an impressive piece of craftsmanship and local pride. Watching the cuckoo pop out on the hour is surprisingly delightful, especially when accompanied by the chimes and moving figurines. The surrounding shop offers a beautiful collection of handmade cuckoo clocks, souvenirs, and local products. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, offering insights into how the clocks are made. For a small fee, you can even go inside the clock and see the intricate inner workings—definitely worth it for clock or engineering enthusiasts.

You won't be upset if you miss this. Nice to take a pic with, but the cookoo clock thing comes out for like ten seconds says coo-coo and then goes back in. Like don't get me wrong it's fantastic right it does what it says on the tin. But there's no theatre no dramatics none of hand bars jumping up and down etc .. Like don't be upset if you miss this. Although I will say potentially in some cases you might see it on your way out of town and if it's not on the 0clock point don't both staying, take your pic and just go. Lol 🤣.
