Teltschikturm — Attraction in Verwaltungsverband Schönau

We visited the Teltschikturm with a group of four and had a fantastic experience. The hike to the tower was short and pleasant, winding through the peaceful forests near Wilhelmsfeld. The path is well-marked and suitable for most fitness levels, making it a great choice for a small group outing. The Teltschikturm itself is an impressive 41-meter-high wooden observation tower, with a viewing platform at 36 meters. If someone has a vertigo, the tower is not suitable .... nevertheless it is a good opportunity if he goes up to overcome it, giving himself the reward of the view ..... At 41 meters from the ground or otherwise 192 steps multiplied 21.35 cm ... view in all directions .... easily accessible from the parking lot of the Kirschbaum lange ..... everyone can organize very nice small or large biking or hiking excursions...and all can try to beat the record of running up...

This is in my opinion the most underrated / unknown outlook platform near Heidelberg. In the summer you can get very beautiful sunset views over the Odenwald here!

You can reach the Teltschickturm by hiking, either from Heidelberg or from Dossenheim, though it is quite high and requires a good baseline fitness level. Otherwise, you can also take the bus 34 from Heidelberg to Willhelmsfeld until the Langer Kirschbaum stop, and then it's just a flat 20min walk...
