It was nice. I liked it, but I'm a fan of speleology. Of note: they "open" at 1500 and the first tour starts at 1545. Then, they close at 1700. So yeah, get there then with that in mind. The tour is about an hour long. Granted I came to the kristallhöhle in the late shoulder season, maybe they have different hours during the summer. I don't know for sure but they probably do. It is a pretty cool crevasse cave with a ton of history but its also pretty small. Also, the museum is just a rock collection. If you like rock collections, cool. I wouldn't go to Germany just to see it is what I'm saying. The restaurant, isn't. The staff is very friendly but going on tours, even ones where it's a small group and they know you don't speak German, they don't care unless you're an Asian tourist...and that is...

It is just a cave...maintained well but just for a business interest.. nothing special inside ..just going down and climbing up. There are lots of famous and more interesting caves are around the world.. rntre fees of 11 euro /person is too much in my opinion.. better you visit the museum upstair which has lot of collection of stones and crystals.....the cave is a natural cave without a single formation of stalactite or stalagmites formation inside it...better not to waste money just burning your own calories then pay again to fulfill your empty stomach...

Alles in allem sehr...

It is an awesome experience so see the crystal formations, it's a very beautiful cave. A helmet well be given to enter. It has 456 steps beneath and again 450 back.. so need to take care on that. It is quite cold inside so better wear warm clothes and rain coats as the water might be dripping in summers. The cost is 6€ for students and 1€ extra for the photography. A small müseum is also there where they exhibit all the different crystals and a short movie.
