The sign at the bottom says parkplatz 600m but it felt further. The road widens to a bit of a plateau and there are gates and a sign which says for guests only. We drove through and it was probably only another 200m and we arrived at the Burg. It is a private house as well as a hotel and if you want to go in the cost is €6 per adult.||||We spent a good hour wandering about the house and learning of the history of the family, the photo albums show some serious hobnobbing with important politicians and business men, we found it interesting. There was stuff going back to Kaiser Wilhelm in 1915, Adolph in the late 30's and most of the German chancellors since. Pictures of many significant European politicians all rubbing shoulders with family members. The house was magnificent, the views from the tower outstanding.||||We stopped for refreshment in the bar too, going by the size of the restaurant,it remains a popular place even if difficult to get to.||||Parking at the top is limited maybe only 6 cars and you do not want to meet one on the single track road as you travel...
