Belantis — Attraction in Zwenkau

I was really looking forward to this trip, but in the end I was disappointed. Overall there were some fun rides and attractions, but nearly €45, especially when several of the rides were closed, is not a fair price at all. And no, it was not much cheaper to book online. (Some of the out-of-service rides were posted at the entrance, some were not. Apparently, you have to check the website every day to see what rides are actually open.) There's half an afternoon's worth of entertainment in there, at most. The park wasn't overly full, but still the wait times were long - I suspect it has to do with the lack of attractions and everyone wanting to go on the same rides. And forget about food. I was expecting it to be overpriced (it is a theme park after all), but the selection was so poor, there wasn't anything I even wanted to eat. Slushies in particular were so ridiculous, you had to pay for the cup and the refills, both of which were a rip-off.

I was really looking forward to Huracan. I love intense rollercoasters, but this one was one of the worst for me. There was so much sideways g-force that my head was getting thrown around the whole time. My neck was so sore afterwards - that's never happened to me on any rollercoaster before, even ones that were way faster/more intense. I was genuinely afraid I was going to injure my head or neck. Definitely didn't want to go on it again. On another ride, I saw a teenager with a phone in his hand as the car returned back. That is a huge safety hazard and I'm surprised the staff didn't notice or intervene.

The "theme" part is just... lazy. Some poorly drawn "hieroglyphics" and some rusty desert decorations are supposed to give you the feeling that you are in ancient Egypt. And at some point along your path, those decorations are replaced with some vaguely Pirate or Native American or Middle-Age accessories. If you're planning on visiting for Halloween next month, just be aware that a lot of these decorations look like they came from a Euro shop.

We went on a hot sunny day and it was so difficult to find shade throughout the park, especially in the queues. I wouldn't want to visit this park if I had mobility issues, was pregnant or elderly. There aren't enough places to sit throughout the park. Some of the paths leading up to the rides are not designed with safe accessibility in mind (stones, uneven surfaces etc.).

Good things: Lockers, allowing outside food, some of the staff were friendly, there were a couple of fun rides, free birthday ticket.

Overall, it was just not worth the price. If you're looking for a full day out, a theme park that actually has themes, that has so many great rides that you can barely fit them all in one day, with an adequate dining experience, where the kids can have adventures and adults can get an adrenaline rush, save your money and find...

The biggest issue in our opinion is the price. 90€ for two tickets, 5€ parking, 30€ two meals of frozen food, a mini waffle 3,50€, two slushies 15€.

If you'd cut everything in half we still wouldn't rate it super high, but then it becomes much easier to stomach. There simply isn't enough "love" in the park. The attractions aren't very modern, many going back as far as decades ago. That in itself would be fine, if there would be new attractions to make up for it.

I think the park is decent for families with children though, since they do have mostly attractions for that demographic. Adults are probably going to have a hard time (only 3 roller coasters)

All in all this makes it a very tough sell, because you have many alternatives that are either priced much more competitively, or ones with a better reputation, being bigger and better.

The big highlight was the pyramid. That was definitely worthy and beautiful to look at. Unfortunately the fact that you had to pay to get dried after the water slide of the pyramid left a bitter aftertaste. After all the expenses paying an additional 3€ just to get dried because the water slide completely left you wet and cold is just pure greed. Another positive experience was the castle rollercoaster, that one is beautiful, fun, although a little short.

However that wasn't the most egregious thing that happened during our visit. We paid a decent bit more because of the Halloween season, despite that some of the Halloween attractions required additional pay? We've visited many amusement parks and we are aware of the cost of food, drinks, mini games where you can win plushies, there is plenty of that here in Belantis as well, but the fact that you have to pay additional money for seasonal attractions is extremely scummy behavior.

Our last point, before coming to an end is about the logistics. We got lost multiple times with the entry to the attraction not being close to the attraction or for whatever illogical reason on a completely different side, quite far...

nach gut einem Jahr Dauerkartennutzung möchte ich nun auch einmal Feedback geben.

Unsere Maus ist Anfang des Jahres 3 geworden und wir wohnen in der Nähe von BELANTIS.

Ganze 26 mal waren wir dieses Jahr bei euch. Ich denke das spricht für euch :-)

Natürlich ist nicht alles perfekt, aber wer oder was ist das heutzutage schon.

Es ist und bleibt in meinen Augen ein Park für Kinder und Familien. Und genau dafür wirbt ja auch der Park. Deshalb finde ich Vergleiche mit anderen/größeren Parks schwierig, da man sich über die Internetseite von Belantis vorher erkundigen kann über die Attraktionen, Angebote/Veranstaltungen und die größe des Parks.

Ja, es ist ein kleinerer Park im Verhältnis zu anderen Freizeitparks, aber definitiv nicht weniger erwähnenswert.

Zu unseren Besuchen war der Park immer gepflegt und sauber. Toller Garten-/ Landschaftsbau.

Mit 3 Jahren ist unsere Maus noch kostenlos rein gekommen. Ich und meine Frau haben Dauerkarten.

Für 3 Jahre wird den Kleinen schon echt was geboten. Tolle Spielplätze- vor allem der Wasserspielplatz tiptop, Huracantino die Miniachterbahn- super, mini Autoscooter, die Gummirutsche mit Wasser - herrlich...es gibt wirklich einiges, was ab dem Alter schon möglich ist.

Wir haben nun auch alle regulären Shows besucht. Natürlich sind sie recht einfach gehalten, aber dafür mit Herz. Hier ein dickes Lob an eure Artisten/Showdarsteller, egal ob großes Publikum oder auch mal nur 3 Kinder. Ihr zieht durch und das auch so schön kindernah, dass man merkt, dass es egal ist wie viel nun da sind. Es wird abgeliefert.

Auch eure Thementage / Wochen / Aktionen fanden wir sehr schön. Es wird sich wirklich Mühe gegeben und auch wenn es eben der kleinere Rahmen ist...das macht es nicht weniger Wert...Im Gegenteil, es ist eben nicht komplett überlaufen und damit rücken die Kinder in meinen Augen für euch mehr in den Fokus und es wird individuell das Programm gestaltet. Also auch hier kann ich nur sagen, bitte weiter so.

Thema Essen/ Trinken: Okay, hier muss ich ehrlich sagen, es ist verbesserungswürdig. Euer Fast Food ist okay, man erwartet ja auch kein 3 Gänge Menü, aber das Schnitzel...oder der Burger...es schmeckt eben nur so lala. Pluspunkt sind eure Stände, egal ob Kräppelchen oder Eis, hier schmeckt es.

Durch die Dauerkarte bekommt man ja kostenlos Softgetränke und Kaffee. Hier gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Und nein, ich beschwere mich jetzt nicht über den kleinen Becher ;-) Für die Zukunft darf er natürlich größer werden.

Die Mitarbeiter erleben ich im Park als sehr freundlich. Dadurch dass wir gefühlt jedes Wochenende bei euch sind kann man den einen oder anderen Kollegen schon mit Du ansprechen und auch mal ein paar Worte wechseln. Also auch hier kann ich nichts negatives berichten.

Was ein wenig stört, dass die Fahrgeschäfte, gerade beim Jahrmarkt vorne am Eingang und bei der Achterbahn, nur im Wechsel besetzt sind. Für Kinder immer schwierig zu erklären das sie warten müssen, weil sie es natürlich sofort fahren wollen. Aber das Wechsellmodell kam eher unter der Woche vor und weniger am Wochenende.

Abschließend bleibt zu sagen, BELANTIS ist definitiv einen Besuch wert. Vorrangig machen Familien und Klassenbesuche Sinn, aber ich würde Jugendliche/ Erwachsene nicht ausschließen, da für mich Belantis überall einen Spaßfaktor bietet.

Ich kenne euch noch aus der Zeit "BELANTIS Summer Opening Party", sowas an Veranstaltung könnte ich mir auch wieder gut vorstellen.

Den Wunsch, den viele schon geäußert haben, das ein neues Fahrgeschäft kommen soll, kann ich aber auch nur bestärken. Es wäre schön das unbebaute Arial zu nutzen und den Park weiter auszubauen. Potenzial hat er.

Die Dauerkarten für nächstes Jahr sind schon geholt und mit einem laufenden Meter können wir endlich noch mehr fahren mit unserer kleinen Maus. :-)
