The place is nice and refreshing but customer service is really POOR. no snacks are allowed just cake. Got there at 11:15 on a Saturday. After the nice train ride and tour, we alighted at a junction with no one to receive us and orient us on what our tickets can do. At the “free” games booth, no personnel was attending to it, I had to walk to one of the personnel and inquire before the personnel for each booth was asked to stand up from playing their board games to attend to their booths😏. Even at the archery section there was no personnel to attend to it so I had to use a group that brought their own equipment’s own. At the snacks bar I asked for food and the lady said only snacks were available, spent all my money on kebab, popcorn and soft drinks only to find out that there is a canteen down there that serves rice 😤!!!! I really think the management needs to train and retrain their personnel , considering the location, anyone who comes there will not want to return if the first impression is not a good one. They should be more interactive with the visitors, encouraging them to participate in the games available, how one can maximize the games currently available, even taking pictures for visitors with the beautiful scenery! Because to travel all the way there from Accra and be bored in the next 30mins is a...
Read morePapaya Recreational Village is going to take the recreational market by storm, as in April Easter time, even though it was not fully completed. It was an awesome spectacle, an oasis of fun for both young and old. Went with my family to have a holiday out and I was glad we went. They have very nice views, not too far from Peduase Lodge with an OK to good road and excellent reception. There are activities for both young and old. Restaurants, water fountains, and train rides. There are also games which you can win prizes from. Face painting, acrobatics displays, drumming, and dancing groups encourage the audience to dance along or participate. It was Easter so there was quite a long queue with very slow service. The place was hot but we were compensated for the awesome train ride and tour guide who explained things to come. So far very excited about the prospect and look forward to more fun additions. The entry fee for adults is 100 cedis with coupons that subsidies food. Your food coupon is 20 cedis but the lowest food on the menu is about 65 cedis as of April 2023 which means you have to top up for every meal. A clever way to sell food or upsell. I appreciate the lovely nature of the place and encourage all...
Read moreI recently visited Papaye Recreational Centre, and unfortunately, I had an extremely terrible experience. The waiting time for our food was an astonishing 1 hour and 45 minutes, not to talk of the fact that i'm to fullu pay my bill before my order can go through. I discovered that the food was being sourced from a different location, specifically Spintex Papaye, instead of being prepared on-site. This lack of consideration is particularly distressing, especially when they know they have children in their customer base. Adding to my disappointment, the hospitality team seemed understaffed and overwhelmed during my visit. The poor service was evident, and it would be wise for the restaurant to double their hospitality team over the weekends to ensure a better customer experience. Based on this experience, I find it highly unlikely that I would recommend this center to anyone and i doubt will ever return with my family. The nonchalant attitude displayed by the staff further reinforces my decision. I hope they take customer feedback seriously and work towards improving their...
