Ankasa Game Reserve & Nini-Suhien National Park — Attraction in Western Region

Whilst you're there try and see the Bamboo Cathedral - it's an amazing area with massive growths of bamboo. Camped out there once with a group and one of the group was an opera singer and he sang to us in this beautiful green haven. I will never forget it. Amazing location for nature lovers. Be sure to visit the bamboo cathedral and the Ankasa river, these are my favourite spots on the reserve. Wear clothes that cover up your feet and arms. If you have an insect repellent apply some. There are tiny insects that bite and leave you itchy all over. Also it rains a lot in there and it’s muddy along the trails. I recommend wearing comfortable boots or wellies...

nice place to be. I visited in 2016. You need to wear boots and clothes to cover your hands and legs. Some little insects leave the skin itchy. The bamboo cathedral is a great sight to behold coupled with birds and other animals. The road needs urgent attention. I'm told it's still bad. In all it's a great place and you'll love it.
