The holy shrine of Gogaji or Samadhi Sthal or Goga Ji Temple located in Nohar Bhadra subdivision of Hanumangarh district is known as Gogamedi. Gogamedi is a unique symbol of communal harmony, where a Hindu and a Muslim priest stand. Originally the temple is 950 years old. Maharaja of Bikaner Shri Ganga Singh ji renovate it in 1911. The temple was established to commemorate Shri Gogaji the local deity whose influence over the people is very intense.

Every year a grand fair is organized at Gogamedi from Sharvan Poornima to Bhadrapad Poornima and the fair cover all the area up to Gorakh Tilla (The place of Guru Gorakh Nath). Lacs of devotees from all over India comes during this large fair and pay obeisance and make wishes in front of their God - Goga ji Maharaj at Gogamedi, but they all first go to the Gorakh Tilla and take the blessing of Guru Gorakh Nath and then come to Goga Ji Medi for seeking his blessings. They also carry blue flag in a bamboo and some others especially bhagats comes with a long bamboo decorated with peacock feathers, dry coconuts, hand fans and coloured clothes. It is known as chhari or Nishan. The Katha and bhajans on the life history of Gogaji are recited by Savayians who also play music with traditional instruments like DORU( a form of Damru) & SARANGI. Several Bhagat (Sevadaar) of Goga ji comes in groups of people along with these Savayians. They describe His divine birth, His marriage to Rani Seeryal, family and war life in song like katha. They also told people about His incredible art of healing snake bites and his disappearance from Earth.

It is believed that the spirit of Goga ji temporarily takes abode in the devotee bhagat who lashes himself with a bunch of iron chains called Chabuk. Goga Navami (Bhadrapad Krishan paksha Navmi tithi 9th Day -The birth of Goga Ji) is celebrated with immense fanfare and enthusiasm in the northern regions of India. In Rajasthan on Goga Navami grand fairs are held and the festivities last for three days. People believe that by worshipping Him on this day will protect them from snakes and other evils. Moreover there is also a popular belief that Lord Goga ji protects children from all harm. Hence married women perform pujas on Goga Navami and pray to Him for the well-being and log life of their children. Some childless married women also pray on this day to be blessed with progenies. According to legend, Goga was born with the blessings of Guru Gorakhnath, who gave 'Gugal' fruit(Commiphora wightii) to Goga's mother Bachhal. Goga or Gugga was derived from the Guggal. Goga ji was born on Bhado Shukla Navami from Bachhal Kanwar, wife of Raja Jevar Singh, The ruler of the Chauhan dynasty of Dadrewa (Churu) of Rajasthan, When Bachal was worshipping Guru Gorakhnath, her twin-sister Kachal decided to take the benefits of her sisterтАЩs devotion & blessings from the Gorakhnath. In the middle of the night, she wore her sister's clothes and deceived Gorakhnath into giving her the blessed fruit. When Bachal came to know about it, she rushed to Gorakhnath, narrate him the story. Gorakhnath came to know that Kachal deceives bachal. Then Gorakhnath gave Bachal a Gugal fruit as a blessing to have a son. He foretold that her son would become very powerful and would rule over the other two sons of Kachal. And it proves true. The temple is under the governance of the State Government. The area around the temple is about 800 bighas of land. though the state govt has built a very beautiful and huge temple around the main shrine. Though this place can be developed more in a various manner and it should occupy a permanent place on the religious as well tourist map of India. One last thing- State Govt as well as temple priests and other serving personnel's should avoid beggars around the holy place. Jai Jai Jahar VEER JI....

Goga Medi temple is situated near about 100 kms from Hisar , Haryana. Baba Jaharveer was warrior as mythological tales. He was mighty, fierce and enlightened one. This place has different divine vibe. Best part is Baba Jaharveer is famous among all the religions such as Hindi, Islam, Sikh. There is no religion no jaati when it comes to Gogamedi. Currently, Mandir Bhawan is equipped with all the facilities and road in front of mandir is very wide. Hope it will not be conjusted in next mela time.

Jai Jai Jahar VEER JI. ЁЯТРЁЯТРЁЯЩПЁЯП╗ЁЯЩПЁЯП╗
