Mariza Beach is a hidden gem on Agistri Island, offering a unique and tranquil swimming experience. Unlike traditional sandy beaches, Mariza features a concrete platform nestled among natural rocks, providing direct access to the crystal-clear, deep waters of the Aegean Sea.

Getting There: Mariza is located near the small village of Limenaria, about a 15–20 minute drive from Skala, the island’s main port town. The drive takes you along Agistri’s main road — it’s a typical island road: narrow and small, but in good condition and easy to navigate. Once you reach Limenaria, you’ll need to make your way through very narrow village streets to get to the access point for Mariza. Using Google Maps is highly recommended here. After following the signs and winding through the village, you’ll find a spot to park your scooter, bike, or car, and from there it’s a short downhill walk to the platform.

The Experience: When you arrive, you’ll find a small concrete platform built into the rocky coastline. While it’s not a sandy beach, it’s a lovely spot to relax and swim. The water is deep, clear, and calm — great for swimming and snorkeling. On our visit in early May, it was peaceful, with only about 5–10 people around, making for a very relaxing time.

Facilities and Tips: • Swimming: There is a convenient staircase for getting in and out of the water. While diving looks possible thanks to the depth, always assess conditions yourself before jumping. • Sunbathing: Space on the platform is limited, so it can get tight if it’s busy. Lying on the concrete is fine with a towel, but be prepared for a hard surface. • Amenities: There are no sunbeds, umbrellas, or food stands — so bring whatever you need. • Snorkeling: The water was full of fish when we visited, making it great for snorkeling.

Final Thoughts: Mariza Beach is a peaceful and unique spot that’s well worth visiting if you’re in Agistri — especially if you’re looking for clear water, good snorkeling, and a quiet atmosphere. Just remember, it’s more of a swimming platform than a lounging beach, so plan...

This rocky beach has incredibly clear, light-blue water, but it's not the easiest place to swim. 🌊 There's very little space to put your towel, so be prepared to get cozy with strangers if it's busy. The only way to get into the water is by using a ladder, which can be a bit of a workout. The water is also quite deep, so you can't stand...

Amazing beach for diving, snorkeling, or enjoying the magic waters of the Aegean, there is no place for an umbrella but you can sit on the stairs and enjoy the waters. It's not a place where people can lie down but perfect to read a book by the rocks. Not crowded due to its location but you can easily get there with...

The place is worth seeing even if you'd be scared to get into water 🌊 the sea is amazing there, but it's quite deep right away (you can either get in by the ledder or jump). It's possible sunbathing there if you don't mind laying on a rock. Usually, not many people there and many coming just to take pictures
